ok, its not finished yet, but its the first time i'm seriously doing a site with fb3's beta. take a look yourselfes:
www [dot] szenariomusic [dot] com [slash] index.php
not much to see so far, as theres only one release at the moment. releases are handled as standalone categories. theres only one image in each category (the cover). fb then scans the category-dir for mp3s, the pdf and a tracklist.txt (because special chars and htmlentities arent allowed in filenames) and generates the list. (a mp3-stream-player to come)
my php-tweaking is awful, as i'm doing all this from inside the template files, but as theres no coding-guideline and i'm newbie....
i guess with a little help / revise / optimise / assist
from som1 with more programming experience, or ideas on "how to tweak fb properly" i could turn my code into some kind of a category-overview or a subcategory-overview for everyone to use fb as 'normal' gallery...
any ideas or help would be appreciated.
furthermore, i think there are still a lot of things to improve in folderblog. when trying to tweak fb i considered these as most annoying:
1) html in comments
2) no htmlentities in comment-notification
3) empty-elements (such as next/prev links on archive page. or empty divs and s.o.)
4) two different urls for the same (front-page) image if opened from archive (/category/imagename/) or from fb.php
5) still too much html in fb.php itself
6) no semantics in default-template
7) no guideline on how to write an extension
i hope to cope with most of these, but other plans like entirely-clean urls, store all files outside document-root etc. but no need for headaches as fb still does what it wants :-0
(btw: im not accusing donald here. i just see that all my tweaking here and there isnt optimal as im doing it the way i need it at the moment, for that specific site, so i'll end up with nothing that would work on everyones fb. thats why im requesting for assistance here - in order to get something everyone could use...but now i agree: doing a site with fb is a pita)
ikue, donald, anyone, do you listen? whats the current state of your 'develops'?
ikue, can i contact you via e-mail? see no infos on your site. mine is erikpoehler [at] gmx [dot] de
anyway: feedback on design, improvement suggestions, etc. is welcome!
